Food - great, beer and cocktail selection, great! Unique dishes - try that bahn mi dog, it isn't what you would expect and your palette with thank you! Can't thank chef Eric Baker enough for consistently serving up fantastic dishes! Best part is: They are open late. So if you live in the area you know how rare that is! Especially for the quality you get!

Updated : I was contacted by the management to resolve my original post and returned to the bar with a friend. This time we were both greeted warmly by the bartender who made us each a drink after discussing the drinks menu and our preferences. The bar was full so we sat down at table and were greeted by our waiter, John, who recommended the grilled octopus which was served with cheese and really good. Throughout the night we had a a couple more drinks and service was attentive with a relaxed and positive neighborhood vibe. It reminded me of an east London neighborhood gastropub. Overall, I was pleased with the food, the friendliness of the staff/management, and the atmosphere. It was a completely different experience, I am happy to say. I have decided to change my mind about this place and give it 5 stars. ************************* We went here on a Saturday for dinner and drinks. The bartender was a bit unfriendly and short with me despite the empty bar.... Maybe he was just having a bad day of it. The drinks were good with quality ingredients/garnishes and I liked the menu. Also the bar was well stocked and I would have liked to try so many selections but I didn't feel very welcomed. We decided not to stay for dinner so I can't comment on the food.

Came here on a Saturday for dinner around 6 PM. Atmosphere is intimate with dim lighting and a large, well-stocked bar. For starters we had the Brussels sprouts and green garbanzo hummus. The sprouts were sweet, savory and scrumptious, the miso-butterscotch and bacon were a perfect foil for this vegetable and I could have had a bowl of this alone and I would have been happy. The hummus was lemony and zesty and the warm naan it came with was soft and chewy. For mains we had the skillet roasted organic king salmon, the blackened Mahi tacos, the Wagyu flat iron steak and the pan seared dorade. Everything was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and came with crispy fingerlings in a spicy brava sauce. The dorade, a flaky white fish, came in a ponzu sauce with a crispy rice cake. We cleaned our plates. We ordered one of each dessert, the warm ricotta donut holes with house made berry jam and salted caramel and the banana cream pie served layered in a large mason jar. Both were wonderful. There were some really interesting cocktails as well and I had a coffee tonic made with mint and ginger beer. It was the only thing I didn't enjoy, I don't think the combination of flavors worked. Other than the cocktail, I really enjoyed the meal, and service was great. Highly recommended.

Dennis Max has done it again. I absolutely love every one of his restaurants and thought nothing could top Max's Harvest - until now. Max's Social House was absolutely delish. I love the small tapas-ish type of menu. I almost ate an entire skillet of Stilton dip by myself. The meat and cheese platter was nothing to write home about but everything else was absolutely great. Not sure what was in the cocktail sauce for the chilled shrimp, but I want the recipe! I am definitely going back to try some other things on the menu. The staff was very accomodating when I kept bringing my reservation up from 4, to eventually 12 people throughout the week. I suggest taking an Uber car there because the line for the valet looked pretty long, and street parking is almost nill. All and all, great experience.

Mediocre and over priced. The waitress upcharged on a "well" drink.

My opinion of Max's SoHo has changed from one Happy Hour visit to the next. Disregard my first review where I raved about the HH menu. Two key reasons why I've downgraded them to 2 stars: 1. They've greatly reduced the HH menu since we were there just 2 months ago, and now the only non-meat option is a Stilton cheese dish, which was good, but with only one non-meat choice at HH now, well...we won't be going back. I really don't understand this line of thinking -- One need not be a vegetarian to enjoy non-meat appetizers, so I really wish I understood why they shrunk the HH menu. Regardless, they did. 2. Secondly, and this is a pretty big factor in my 2-star review -- My husband's vodka on the rocks had fruit flies in it. Yep, not just one fly, but two flies were floating around in his vodka. He informed the bartender who promptly poured it out, and left to open a fresh bottle to re-pour my husband a new drink. One would have thought that drink would've been comped, but it wasn't even offered. At least he did open a new bottle. As a couple who frequents downtown Delray quite often, I'm sure there are fruit flies at every bar in town. However, they should NEVER, EVER end up in a customer's glass...ever! These two experiences on the last visit are enough to say we won't be back. We've had MUCH better experiences at many other locations in downtown Delray.

The best Korean BBQ chicken since I was in Seoul. The beef cheek empanadas are like little bites of heaven.... the food coma was better that Colorado finest. Class act.... Dennis Max continues to impress my pallet. Great job guys!

Looking for an alternative to dull Rebel House or Dishwater Dada? This is your restaurant. Tucked away off the main drag of the Delray Beach restaurant and shopping zone, this place has fantastic food, great hours (open late and Sunday brunch) and an adventurer's bar with mixologists who can make up amazing adult beverages. The kale "slaw" is a great salad, and the Korean fried chicken (Dakgangjeong) is some of the best chicken I've ever had, served with blackened brussels sprouts and carrots that were mildly brined in ginger and spice. Desserts are limited to two, but they're excellent. we tried what were called donught holes but which were really more like a round beignet plated with a fruit sauce that was outstanding. Service was excellent. This is the little place that used to be a tapas restaurant. They didn't change the atmosphere, which was über romantic, or the small plates style, just the cuisine has changed from Spanish to New American. They put in better seating, improved the sound system and stocked the bar 110% better and have a much stronger kitchen and front staff. You can sit out on the patio, two petite indoor dining rooms, or at the bar. Parking is street, but not bad in that area. The only thing that the did not fix is the live walls and floor. The place can get very very LOUD, particularly if they have a heavy drinking party full of self-entitled Bocans with deep wallets and only mildly pickled livers. Putting in some area rugs or some ceiling baffles to knock down the noise would give them that last star back. This is the same Max of Max's in Mizner Park and Max of Max's Harvest up the street. They are open for food full menu most nights until 11:00, and then they have a late night reduced menu that is good until 12:00 early in the week and 1:00a on weekends. They do a BBQ brunch on Sundays with liberal and exotic libations. If you eat, it's a $$. If you eat and drink it's a $$$ to $$$$ evening.

My little group is always happy for a good happy hour! Of the three we were able to hit while we were in town, Max's Social House was my favorite! The Warm Stilton Dip with House Chips was so good, we ended up ordering a second round, as we did with the Garlic Parmesan Fries with Short Rib Gravy. Heavenly! The Deep Texas Mule cocktail went over like gangbusters with the entire group, and was re-ordered several times! They have a terrific outdoor covered patio with plenty of fans, so even the Florida heat couldn't keep us away! Our bartender, Paul, was a delight and even let us all share a test version of a new cocktail that he was trying out! (hint: it was yummy!) Well done, Max's! I can't wait to test you out again!

We stopped here to get a late night bite after checking out a couple of bars and I have to say that I wish there was a place like this in Orlando because I'd come here all of the time! The inside was decorated in a farmhouse-y style and their outdoor seating looked really pretty. I liked the way the seating was segregated in different rooms almost, it'd be a great place to bring a large party for a birthday party or something like that. We had the Duck Wings and the Kobe Hot Dog and both were out of this world delicious and memorable. The seasoning on the wings was sweet and tangy but still had a little bit of spice to it, yum. I'm not into Hot Dogs, but my partner liked it and it seemed like a cool spin on a classic. I had the Deep Texas Mule as well with the Grapefruit Deep Eddy's vodka and ginger beer, it was so delicious and refreshing. We sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and a lot of the staff that was off work were still lingering and they all seemed really happy which to me says a lot, they like where they work and that's always a sign of a great restaurant. Next time we visit Delray, we'll be checking this place out for dinner!

This place has such a cool understated vibe. Great design. Not overdone. Loved that they have connect Four. Mac and cheese was fantastic. Hummus was good with a nice olive tapenade. The Brussel sprouts might be the best i have ever had (they made them without bacon). Wife had the burrata salad. Looked fantastic with heirloom tomatoes. The truffle fries were excellent. I had the fish tacos. They were good. Not fried which I love. Had a nice cabbage corn garnish. The sauce was really good too. Dessert we did the donut holes (really good) and the banana pudding. Banana pudding is one of my favorites. Presented in a jar which was cool. Drinks well received by our party. Esther was a great server. She gave input but not too much. She was perfect. And either owners or managers kept checking in to make sure we were happy. Nice but not overbearing. A good feeling start to finish. Will 100% go back. They have outdoor seating too.

My friends and I came to Max's for a girls night and it was AMAZING. We enjoyed our drinks, Texas Mule and Slo' Jo, as well as several appetizers. The Brussel Sprouts, Papas Fritas, and Hummus were delicious and we had to restrain ourselves from licking the bowls. Our entrees were just as unique and delicious as our first course. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, making our night memorable. The manager asked us to move tables to accomodate a large party and brought us an unbelievable Banana Cream Dessert, served in a large mason jar, as a thank you for our flexibility. We all agree that our dinner at Max's Social House was one of the best we have ever had. We will definately be back!!!

Love the place - atmosphere, staff, food, bar . . . Almost the BIG * * * * *. Tried a wide variety of tapas & fully enjoyed them all. Pickles were a unique, refreshing start. Hummus was very well done but there was a slight shortage of nan. Loved me some meatballs and mac& cheese! Brussels were slightly over dressed for my liking. Great ambiance & vibe. Not an overwhelming # of selections, foods & wines, which speaks to the confidence of the chef & sommelier. I'll be back - could easily become a regular. Thanks for the experience, folks!

Came to check out the place for our shared birthday celebration. What a nice treat! Split four of the small dishes and loved every one. Thank you to Celeste for recommending the hummus - really different and addictive. The kale salad was spiked with horseradish for a whole new taste, and the short rib empanadas had the best flaky. The service was exceptional! They even surprised us with a special birthday dessert - the most delectable SoHo donuts, even better than Max's Harvest's version! Thank you to Dennis Max for creating another great dining experience.

The staff was so friendly, knowledgable and inviting! Felt like we were having dinner at a friends house! The drinks were delicious but nothing could compare to the Angus Burger. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my day and I can honestly say this was the best one I've ever had. 5 stars, highly recommend this place and cannot wait to come back!

Stopped by this place while looking for something to eat after 10, their late night menu is amazing, their chef Johnny and sous chef Dalton craft a different steak and egg sandwich every night, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. Try the duck wings they are to die for! Ask for Roger the bartender, he knows his drinks and cares about the detail. If you are looking for the best regardless of location (off Atlantic) then reach for it at Maxx's you won't regret it.

I can't decide what my favorite thing about this place is: Jeff's muscular arms shaking up heaven in a glass, Johnny Martinis fried egg sandwich, or watching the hunky Johnny Martini serve the glorious sandwich to me late night. To all my single ladies this is the place to come to satisfy both your taste buds and your imagination with the amazing staff they have here. Definitely my new favorite hang out spot in Delray, you would be crazy not to check it out.

This is a spot I have been eager to try since I heard of it conception at the Yelp event at Max's Harvest. So we headed over roughly 7pmish on a Tuesday night. There were a few diners on the outside, a few people at the bar but overall, chilled and not busy. We decided to sit at the bar, with a great view of the kitchen and talented mixologists. I started with the Gin Herbaceous cocktail and my friend had a craft beer on tap. It was pleasant, staff were friendly and introduced themselves. We started with the chorizo stuffed dates - absolutely delectable. Chorizo stuffed, wrapped in bacon and baked (I assume) in a tomato paste. It was a salty sweet party in my mouth. We then graduated onto the octopus and a side of Parmesan truffle fries. The octopus was soft, meaty, slightly crispy on the outside, scattered over a homemade cold pesto, bean and tomato salad. Unbelievable. Crown worthy and simply moorish. The fries a wonderful complement. Fresh crumbled cheese and earthy truffle oil over homecut fries, thank you and thank you. We finished the night with one more drink. I took the bartenders recommendation and ordered the Social Club, because I told him how much of a gin fan I am. Raspberry, Bombay east, egg whites and a carefully sprinkled douse of crush black pepper - a winner all around. Fun to watch it's construction and fun to drink down. SoHo, take a bow, you truly delivered an experience. From staff, to food, to drinks and of course ambience. I salute you.

I wanted to love my experience here. I loved the way it looked from the street as we drove past and I told my bf, "We have to try it!" So of course we went. We circled the establishment trying to find parking, and decided to try our luck at the parking lot across the street. (The signs designated that this lot was for Anthonys coal fired pizza, but we figured because they were closed it would be fine. It was. Not sure what we would have done if anthonys has been open though.) Anyways, the outside patio and bar looked quite nice, even though it was completely empty on a Thursday night, I just imagined what a fun environment it would be had there been people there. We went inside and while there was noone at the tables, there were two other small groups of people seated at the bar. We sat down at the bar and were giving plenty of time to look over the menu. I mean plenty. The craft cocktails looked amazing! I was excited to try a couple. I settled on a classic drink, and we ordered our food. The bartenders were less than friendly. They were merely order takers who did little to offer suggestions or welcome us, or even explain the concept of this highly advertised spot. I talk longer to the person at the drive thru window, and I don't even go to drive thrus. As you may have guessed, this is where things went south and by south I mean antartic. We waited for our food. And waited. We had ordered dates (chorizo stuffed dates, very much like dadas a few blocks over, the only difference is they throw a "crostini" and by crostini I mean hard as a rock, what dentist is paying you to serve this large, unnecessary croutons with these dates!) I digress. We waited over 25 minutes for a medium cooked burger and some dates. Why??? Beats me. I get that they are new, but after we patiently waited as our bellies clawed from the inside out at the promise of food so close yet so far, we were finally served. (That is, after the unfriendly bartender had to run into the kitchen, after questioning her co-bartender as to why someone else may or may not have received our food, to locate our simple order as if searching for an elusive bigfoot.) Also, dude in the kitchen, put some gloves on. Nobody needs to see you grab my pickles with your bare, ungloved hands. I know that s*** happens. It's the business. But what happened next is a restaurant faux pas that I would not expect to happen at a restaurant by the esteemed restaurateur Dennis Max. (Or would I?) Nothing was done to acknowledge the inconvenience that the incompetence of the staff caused two people out on a date night after a long, hard day of work to experience. Were we offered waters, or even another cocktail? No. No sincere apologies. No manager visit to shmooze, accept responsibilty, and mediate, you know, the basic responsibilities of a floor manager. So thank you, Maxs Social House, for not putting the social in soho. The concept and food is great, but the execution is sorely lacking.Thank you for the experience, and for making me feel like I am solely a check average. If you divide zero by zero you get zero, so that is the average amount of business you will be receiving from me.

Fantastic place! Great drinks.... Amazing food! The Up N' Cumber cocktail is so refreshing. Excellent selection of cheeses and cured meats. The Wagyu Flat Iron Steak.... No words to describe it. Friendly and VERY knowledgeable bartender.

Great romantic dinner for two! We shared the cheese board, social salad and the burger. Everything made perfect! Drinks were fantastic as well! Def a new spot for us! Back bar outside reminds me of the falcon house days for all you locals!

Wish I could give a review of the food, however, after waiting 5 minutes for their late night menu, my family and I left. They seem to have not been able to locate their late night menu and it took everyone to look for it. Three workers cleared out and left my family standing and waiting. We politely left. We got the message.

Another winner from the Max's group. The food and drinks have all been very well thought out and crafted. Slowly becoming a favorite of ours!

Aww love this UNpretentious new restaurant built IN to a beautiful restored Delray cottage near. The young, hip ("not" hipster") staff all work as artists or another industry so they are pleasant and not desperate. Actual conversationalists with product knowledge.

Unbelievably friendly staff, at in the outside bar. Wagyu flatiron steak left me speechless Burnt sugar old fashioned-nice pepper finish Fig old fashioned - delish Cucumber sage Hendricks Collins- so refreshing Stop reading reviews and go. I was here on business and hesitant with the low review count, nothing to fear.

We have been to soho a handful of times now and the place is exactly what Delray needed! Located off the ave it has the laid back atmosphere without all the hussle and bussle the locals crave. The food is exactly what you want to eat when you are socializing with friends and colleagues. The portions are perfect and the dishes creative. The octopus and shrimp are light and delicate. They hit the spot! The short rib and burger are incredible and great for sharing. My personal favorite is the bahn Mi hot dog. What a great thought. The drinks are creative and different than the average fare you see throughout the avenue. The staff is friendly the place is warm and it seems like they are just getting going. Great to have a place that does the old falcon house justice. Soho is going to be a winner!

Our first experience here was with friends for happy hour and it was fantastic. We had a great server, wish I could remember her name! We tried a bunch of different items: the crispy fries with aged cheddar and gravy, chilled shrimp with key lime mustard, pimento cheese spread and the warm stilton dip with house made chips. Everything was delicious but you MUST try the stilton dip with chips, it's incredible. We are looking forward to going back!

A really great new place just tucked away from the crowds and din of Atlantic Ave. They serve fresh, local and organic fare, well prepared on a diverse menu. The name Social House rings true. Everyone there is so friendly and excited about this place. We sampled the pimento cheese, pickle jar, burrata and ramen with pork belly. All flavorful and great presentation, my only comment is I personally would have liked the pork belly crispy, but that's my preference. It's an old cottage well converted to a fun, new restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating, with a large outdoor bar area. They are open late and cater to those in the restaurant biz. I'll definitely be back soon!
(5)
David A.
They have a long way to go before it'll be successful here! Time will tell! Walked out waiting for our reservation! Bartenders are arrogant! Friday night, should I expect more?
(1)
Sam M.
I agree with Laurie S! Tried a variety of dishes in one sitting and went back another night for more. They had live music (nice acoustic set) friday night, lots of people having a good time. Place as a great vibe yet can still feel very intimate if that is what you're looking for. I think this place for just opening is on point. The idea is to socialize whether with your group of friends at a table or strangers at the bar.... they have a great quote on the chalkboard that says "Friends were strangers once." I met some really great people there and will defintely be going back for some more amazing food and drinks really soon! And for anyone who doesn't know (Jem. Z), zero divided by zero is not zero, it is undefined.

Great food. All farm to table, not too expensive and quick service. Had Mallory as a server and she was probably the most happy person I've ever met. Definitely made the dining experience even better!

Nice little trendy spot with great food. Happy hour was a real disappointment. Our waiter (John) neglected to tell us that any cocktail over $15.00 was not on happy hour special. He was prompt in coming by the table to let us know that happy hour was ending. So with that being said, NO glass of house Chardonnay (9 oz pour) so they say, is worth $16.00 per glass. Enjoy Happy Hour at your own Risk!
This was our second visit, we live next door to this restaurant so decided to give it another try. We had reservations and again waiting at least 40 minutes to get seated. Once seated we waited over 40 minutes for the food. We even got a dish meant for the table next to us and I had to tell the person it was not ours. My friend loves the burger, and the food is quite tasty but waiting for ever for a meal is not my idea of a good time. I love Max Harvest, but this place needs to improve its service otherwise it won't last.

WOW!!!!! My girlfriend and I said let's get out of miami for a night ,"staycation" we heard a lot about Delray and booked a room after some research we settled on SOHO thank God we did ! We grabbed two seats at the bar and never looked back the guys working were amazing Jeff was friendly out going and just plain happy to have us as guest. The other half of the team was Rog a true professional with a razor Sharp tongue and lighting fast wit . Their Knowledge of the the food and spirits was in depth and passionate. My girlfriend a restaurant manager took note of the way they interacted with the wait staff and said they had a true anything for the guest attitude awesome. The burger best ever we added house made bacon yummy. Also do not miss the duck wings or meatballs. If we ever get to Delray again SOHO will be are first stop what a great place in such a cool little beach town.

The older bartender is very cranky (never smiles) and not friendly at all. Too many staff members gathering on the sides of the restaurant gossiping smoking and hushing their barking pets. The food is not really enjoyable due to being drenched in unusual sauces that lack flavor. Waiter talked me into the slow smoke chicken (it was like leather). Good ideas, but they have to get realistic about serving heavily salted & oily food. Looks good on TV but doesn't taste well and isn't healthy at all. I hope they can pull it together, I'd like to go back.

Had a good dinner at Max Soho. Place was crowded and the tables are close together so it's a bit loud inside. Was seated immediately and the service was excellent. Ordered the Parmesan fries, squid linguine, and short rib. The food is very good and definitely above the average Delray fare. Prices are good with the exception of the drinks. Had a $13 bourbon cocktail which was barely half a pour and filled with a giant ice cube so stick to beer or wine.

Great pitstop just around the block from Vino Van Gogh - my wife and I had just enough time for a craft cocktail and an appetizer before painting last night - I had the meatballs, she had the Greek salad - wow, both were melt in your mouth fantastic - literally the best meatballs of any restaurant in Boca and Delray, and the olives and feta (I don't even like feta!) were fantastic - nice time sitting outside, very quick and excellent service from Chris, and a visit by 2 different managers to make sure we were happy and enjoying our drinks as well - best date night in a very very long tome last night, started here! Thanks team! Definitely try the wine and painting for a complete evening btw! Farm to table never tasted this good!

We were perplexed that my fish dinner arrive 25 minutes before my husband's rare burger??? I thought we were dining together ? The manager knew we were upset and never returned to " do something" about it. The poor waiter seemed overwhelmed with the way the kitchen worked .. With so many choices, why should I come back?

Great food and ambiance... Brussels were caramelized and delicious. Salad was refreshing. The cavatelli Mac and cheese was really good. Meatballs might have been the best we've had in delray and the burger was also good. The bartenders were funny and made us great drinks, the prices for the bar were a little on the high end we thought. A glass of wine for $13 seems a little steep since it's not a high end steak house. Would recommend it to anyone looking for something new in Delray Beach or something contemporary and fun.

Went with a group of ladies it was our first time visiting. I cannot say one bad thing about this restaurant! We had chorizo stuffed dates and they didn't look appealing but were amazing. The other ladies also raved about the apps they ordered. I decided to order the hamburger with truffle fries. I have had many hamburgers but this was by far the best hamburger I have ever had. I can't wait to go back and bring my husband. Next time I will order drinks.

SoHo is wonderful! Fun, hip and upbeat. The burgers are gourmet, the salads innovative and fresh, and the apps are so enticing and delicious its fun to order several and share. We had an attentive waitress. Everything was fantastic w the exception of the mussels w chorizo - because the little mollusks were not properly cleaned (grit and beards). All in all, it's a neat place off the Ave to get a great meal.

Went here last night and had a really positive experience. Our bartender, Jeff, was really friendly and knowledgeable and offered suggestions on several drinks. I had the Fig and Walnut Old Fashion, Hemmingway's Hallucination, and the Burnt Sugar Old Fashion. All were great but the Fig and Walnut Old Fashion is my recommendation. My girlfriend had the Social Club and she loved it too. As far as food is concerned we had the truffle fries, the ham and bread and homemade chips with bleu cheese dip. Its really good and gourmet bar food basically. We didn't get a chance to try the rest of the menu unfortunately. I think this is a great new place to check out, my only gripe (which is the same gripe I have for anything on the ave) is the parking is annoying We parked at Mellow Mushroom and walked over here. Definitely recommend this place. Jeff was great as were the other bartenders and staff. They made you feel really welcome and are very knowledgeable on how to make drinks and what drinks you may like.

It should be cool but what's up with the live elevator music on a Saturday night? Whoever is making the call on the music here is really making a terrible decision. Hire someone who gets music please and this place will be ten times better.

Food was pretty good. Drinks are not strong but very smooth. Menu is nice but the fries were a bit over cooked. Our waitress from Colombia was super cool. Answered all of our questions in a courteous and fun manner. I recommend this place for couples. Not exactly a venue for partying. More laid back and chill.

This is a 4-star-on-its-way-to-being-a-5-star review. The 4 stars are for 2 of the best dishes I have tasted in Delray Beach, the marvelous mussels and the lovely ramen with pork belly. I don't usually write about flavors, but these two dishes were outstandingly tasty: the subtle Asian ramen enhanced by meltingly tender pork; the fresh little mussels benefiting from tangy smoked tomatoes (new to me) and chorizo. Here's what needs to change - sever prep. With two broth-rich dishes like this (large portions moderately priced, by the way) your (very nice) server needs to bring soup spoons, and with the mussels, a seafood fork and a shell-bowl. We're going back tonight and I'm ordering those mussels - let's see if they've learned. Our bad: we didn't read the menu description all the way to the end, so the beautifully cooked brussels sprouts we ordered with our drinks were flavored with butterscotch. Not a good idea.

We had a wonderful time at this quirky, inventive place. Everything was delicious and unique: chorizo stuffed dates, pimento cheese with a pickled green tomato, shrimp with a key lime mustard sauce, roasted brussel sprouts with miso/butterscotch sauce, burrata salad, and the best banana creme pie we've ever had served in a jar. This is fun, casual, and on our list of places to definitely return.

Worst Service Ever....all the staff looks like chickens with their heads cut off. I showed up at 8:03 for my 8:00 reservation on a Friday night. That seems really stressed out and confused at the door but told me they found my friends name and that it would be a short wait. I didn't realize nor was I told that they were putting me on the bottom of the list of walk-ins so after 25 minutes of waiting I checked in and they told me it would be another 20 minutes, I asked if they were running 40 minutes behind the maitre d told me rudely told me it was because I was late. We went across the street to Anthony's where the service is better and not scattered and unorganized. Working in one of NYCs most successful restaurant for over 3 years I know the way my reservation was handled is not acceptable and does not make for a successful restaurant. I hope they retrain their door staff to be a better face to the restaurant, it makes a huge difference.

First time eating at Max's Social. Must say, very impressed. Quaint setting, dim lighting, close quarters, makes for a nice peaceful romantic evening. Service was great, very personable, friendly, honest and helpful. The food was delicious, we had the ramen bowl, the octopus, and the fries. The ramen bowl was amazing. Great flavor, spicy, wholesome, and filling. Only complaint with the ramen bowl was it lacked in the noodle department, not that they were bad, just not enough of them. The octopus was great, fresh tasting, nice charred edges very good seasons. The French fries at first were great, then towards the bottom the got very hard and crunchy. Aside from that the fries were delicious, and the side dipping sauce was great as well. Overall, good food, nice atmosphere, great service, means we will be going back and trying Max's other restaurants.

Cool vibe, great music, average food and very average service. Should get better as they grow but the food needs to be tasted on a regular basis by the people who make it. Octopus not boiled enough and tough, brownie completely not enough edible and tough 1st time in my life that i saw that. Drinks are cool and delicious. Prices not bad either. Obviously we shall try it again but not for a few months.

As a long-time restaurant writer, the best I can say is that the food is average. Service was poor and aloof. Might work on the snowbirds but it will be interesting to see how it survives after the winter season

Love it! I love the ambiance they did a great job on decorating this place! It's casual and laid back, a tad rustic with a modern flair . The old house has been done over in the perfect vibe for Delray. The little outdoor bar that is only accessible from the outdoors makes it feel like a homey spot. The staff, managment and service is friendly and attentive! We were a party of 5 ,we ordered the empanadas , Brussels sprouts ( omg delicious, they take ur greens to a whole new level ) , the burger that was cooked just right , the chicken dish that was bursting with flavor in all the right ways, the octopus was tender and refreshing, the wine and beer selection was fantastic and well planned out for the foods they offer! This is the kind of spot you look forward to going to for a flavorful simple meal. I am excited to see my favorite town in south florida, Delray beach , is finally putting out some great hang out spots like this. Try it , your sure to be back!

(5)Christiana Z.
Loved our server Esther! She was so friendly and gave great recommendations! Fun atmosphere, great food! Loved the Pickle Jar, lamb chops (polenta was AMAZING!!) desserts were enormous!!!! Will definitely be back!
(4)Kelly M.
(5)John L.
(4)Caron M.
(5)Donald A.
(5)Shaun R.
Excellent food and craft cocktails
(5)Holly N.
(5)D L.
Great place! Awesome food, staff, decoration, overall feel...can not wait to go back again. Our server, Ester, was the best!!
(5)Huxley M.
(5)Jennie S.
Absolutely wonderful food. We ordered 6 different plates and every single thing was outstanding! I can not remember another restaurant that I could say that about. Atmosphere is great and the drinks are good. Very fun night out.
(5)Jade C.

(2)Raul D.
Fantastic place! Great drinks.... Amazing food! The Up N' Cumber cocktail is so refreshing. Excellent selection of cheeses and cured meats. The Wagyu Flat Iron Steak.... No words to describe it. Friendly and VERY knowledgeable bartender.
(5)Justin T.
Great romantic dinner for two! We shared the cheese board, social salad and the burger. Everything made perfect! Drinks were fantastic as well! Def a new spot for us! Back bar outside reminds me of the falcon house days for all you locals!
(5)L E.
Wish I could give a review of the food, however, after waiting 5 minutes for their late night menu, my family and I left. They seem to have not been able to locate their late night menu and it took everyone to look for it. Three workers cleared out and left my family standing and waiting. We politely left. We got the message.
(1)Michele B.
Another winner from the Max's group. The food and drinks have all been very well thought out and crafted. Slowly becoming a favorite of ours!
(4)donni a.
Aww love this UNpretentious new restaurant built IN to a beautiful restored Delray cottage near. The young, hip ("not" hipster") staff all work as artists or another industry so they are pleasant and not desperate. Actual conversationalists with product knowledge.
(5)Dario L.
(5)Nick S.
(5)Anna L.
(5)Laurie S.
(5)David A.
They have a long way to go before it'll be successful here! Time will tell! Walked out waiting for our reservation! Bartenders are arrogant! Friday night, should I expect more?
(1)Sam M.
(5)Paul M.
Great food. All farm to table, not too expensive and quick service. Had Mallory as a server and she was probably the most happy person I've ever met. Definitely made the dining experience even better!
(5)Sheryl G.

Where do I begin?! We threw a private party here last Saturday evening for 35 people. My daughter and her fiancé 's engagement party- on the side patio, which has its own full bar, a sectional sofa, along with tables that we could set up in the desired configuration for our casual party, which included plenty of passed apps, and a large stationary table which included a charcuterie platter with artisanal assorted breads, and an incredibly presented pistachio hummus and sliced naan. Our party was EPIC!!! Bob, the manager, held my slightly sweaty, hysterical, and completely obsessive hand throughout the planning process. No words, Bob...no words. I knew, perhaps contrary to my behavior, that you knew your stuff, and that we were in capable hands. Thank you thank you thank you. Food: DELICIOUS! CREATIVELY PRESENTED! Bob's attitude was: "anything you want, we'll make it happen". And he was as good as his word. Staff: AMAZING! Friendly, on top of everything, professional, and always smiling. The food kept coming out. Seamless. Perfect. Cooperation: this is KEY. When I plan a party, I am a wreck, probably because I'm insane about details. We brought so much stuff to the place to decorate: enormous, difficult to place flower arrangements, burlap table drapes, stuff that hung from the ceilings, and on and on. They never batted an eye, just kept handing us drinks on the house as we set up. Again. THIS IS A WONDERFUL PLACE! DELISH FOOD, RESPONSIVE PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT, COOL DELRAY VIBE, and did I mention price? Surprisingly reasonable!!!!! Folks, if you haven't been here, COME!! PS: The host, Stuart, is cool too. Hehehe.
(5)Melissa W.
They make an avocado brownie that is to die for.
(4)Janel B.
Excellent food, exceptional brunch
(5)Carlo V.
(2)Karl V.
(5)Mally F.
(2)Todd O.
(4)Skip M.
(5)penny s.
(1)Alp A.
(4)Alicia B.
(5)Kitty G.
(4)Tiffany P.
SOHO Is a great place to grab a bite to eat. seating is limited inside and they are always busy a reservation is a must.
(4)Raj R.

Food great. Service great. A little noisy. Will go back.
